In Gonzaga’s 89-77 win over Santa Clara, graduate forward Graham Ike delivered one of the most dominant performances of his college career, finishing with 34 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs to victory. Ike was incredibly efficient, connecting on 13 of 17 field goal attempts and going 7 for 8 from the free-throw line, pacing Gonzaga’s offense while helping to offset a sluggish first half from the rest of the team.
His effort fueled Gonzaga’s offense as they shot 58% overall and built enough cushion to withstand a late push from the Broncos. Ike’s scoring came in every phase of the game — early buckets helped Gonzaga establish a lead, and his scoring outburst in the second half kept the Bulldogs firmly in control. He scored 13 points while Gonzaga jumped out to an early lead and continued to attack as Santa Clara fought back to keep the game close at halftime. In the final minutes, his presence inside and on the glass ensured that Gonzaga maintained separation from a Broncos squad that had led the West Coast Conference in scoring coming into the matchup.
Beyond his scoring, Ike’s double-digit rebounding performance (11 boards) demonstrated his all-around impact, particularly on the defensive glass and in securing possessions for Gonzaga. This performance not only helped extend Gonzaga’s winning streak to 10 games overall and maintain an unbeaten conference record, but also served as a statement night for Ike as one of the elite frontcourt players in the WCC this season.
